Wholesale produce, at the day's price
Vegetable prices change every morning, so a kitchen phones around and finds out what it paid when the invoice arrives. We built the market that puts the day's price on the screen before the order.

A kitchen orders the night before, by phone, at whatever price the supplier quotes that morning. Delivery comes with a paper note, the note goes in a drawer, and at the end of the month someone checks a stack of them against a statement that never quite matches.
We designed for a phone held in one hand at six in the morning. Produce that follows the market and produce sold at a set price sit on one list, each with today's number. A chef photographs the paper delivery note and the app matches the lines against the order. The supplier gets the other half: publish prices before the cut-off, pick tomorrow's orders from one list.
Ordering takes about as long as the phone call did, and the price is on screen before the order is placed. A disagreement about a delivery is settled by the note rather than by memory, and the month adds itself up.
A real engagement, retold under NDA. The client, the sector detail, the screens and every figure are changed.
